On Saturday, March 18, there will be a vernal pool walk at the community gardens at 129 Bible Street, Cos Cob.

From 10 to 11:30 a.m., professional soil and wetlands scientist Matt Popp and Greenwich’s new Director of Environmental Affairs Beth Evans will show off the creatures that live in vernal pools as well as learn more about our invaluable natural resources. This is a family-friendly event for all ages.

A rain date has been set for Sunday, March 19, but so far the forecast looks like it will be a very nice day. Participants should make sure they have boots on as part of weather-appropriate clothing.
